The Santa Monica Public Library subscribes to several databases which contain interesting and useful information. To access these databases at home you must enter your library card number, including the PSMP at the beginning of the card number and any punctuation or bold numbers at the end of the card number.

eLibrary elementary

ProQuest's eLibrary Elementary is directed toward elementary school and middle school reading skills and assignments.

 

Gale Student Resource Center

The Gale Student Resource Center is designed for middle school and high school students. However the database does have information that may be useful for 4th and 5th graders.

 

Something About the Author

Something About the Author (SATA) provides detailed information about the lives and works of authors and illustrators of children's books. This resource includes not only well-known authors and illustrators whose books are widely read, but also less prominent individuals whose works are just coming to be recognized.
